About Me

Hi! I’m AnnMarie, and thank you for visiting my blog!

I am an aspiring author of primarily romantic (occasionally steamy) suspense style fiction and write (for fiction purposes) under the pen name of Jade Reyner.

I am also a freelance writer (under my real name) and write articles for web sites, blog sites and magazines. I also write web copy. To date I have been published in Woman’s Own and Wiltshire Life.

My ultimate dream is to hold my finished novel in my hands and, as I have written five of them now, I figured it was about time I did something about it. As of September 2016 I have decided to go down the self-publishing road and will be documenting my journey on here. I hope that in the not too distant future, my dream will come true.

Writing is my passion and, if I don’t write, I get jittery, however there is a life beyond the keyboard. Outside of my make-believe world I am a happily-married Mum of two who loves chocolate (more than I should) and cats.

My youngest son is severely disabled and so I do write, from time to time, about subjects surrounding his complex needs which include Autism and Learning Disabilities.

I love meeting other writers as well as other carers so please do drop me a comment.

Thanks for reading … x

  1. AnnMarie,

I am a long time follower, seldom commenter form your other site. Glad you advertised your new site because the other one was great.

It is amazing how difficult it is to live with a secret even if it is a little one like writing under a pseudo-name. Just imagine if you had a real secret you were trying to hide form the world, how tough it would be. Actually that sounds like a plot thread for a novel, hope you find a way to work it in.

    • Thank you, Sarah. We are running to raise funds for a safe space for home so that’s my motivation! I wish I could get up and think ‘Yay, it’s run day’, but as yet, that hasn’t happened! 🙂

  2. Thanks for the follow. Now following you. Since I started writing seriously (after being made redundant) I too feel frustrated if I’m not able to sit down and write everyday (and unfortunately there are lots of days like that).

  3. Hello there, do I know you or are we related? We seem to have the same issues and thoughts!! Haha, not sure how you stumbled across my humble blog but I am glad you did and thanks for the follow which I will reciprocate with a genuine interest. Happy and Quiet Writing x

    • Haha – thanks for connecting and great to have found a kindred spirit! I think I found you after you’d commented on another blog and you seemed like someone on my wavelength! Lol. Glad to have you over here 🙂

Talk to me...I can't wait to hear from you 😊
